Manage > Allow creating Instances of any Class

This feature can be found on the Manage Tab for Data Graph asset collections. If activated then users may create instances of any class, in particular using the New button on the Instances Panel.

If left deactivated, creating instances in Data Graphs is limited to the classes that are marked public in the included Ontologies.

The default policy to use the public classes only provides control over the content of Data Graphs. This is similar to the role of other asset collections. For example, Taxonomies are meant to only contain instances of Concept and Concept Scheme.

Note

Even if activated, this will not enable the New button for the Search Panel. Searching remains limited to the public classes.
