Instances Panel

The Instances Panel is best used in conjunction with the Class Hierarchy Panel or the Class List Panel. It shows a table of all assets that are instances of the currently selected class.

Toolbar Features

• New is available when the current asset collection is suitable to define instances of the current class. For example, Taxonomies are suitable to contain instances of skos:Concept, but Ontologies are usually not permitted to contain instances.

• Free Text performs a substring search across all property values for the instances of the selected class.

• Available batch actions displays the Batch Actions Menu for the currently selected instances.

Settings

• Return local results only only displays the instances that have an rdf:type in the current asset collection, but not when they are from included collections.

• Hide type column can be used to hide the columns showing the types, saving some space.

• Display IDs instead of labels toggles between human-friendly labels and machine-friendly qnames.
