Import > Import Concepts from Document

This feature is available from the Import Tab of Taxonomy asset collections. It can be used to extract candidate concepts from a text document (PDF, HTML, MS Office, etc.). It is particularly suitable as a way to seed a new taxonomy.

When the user selects a file to import, TopBraid will analyze the file extracting concepts from it. Extracted concepts are presented for selection in order of their frequency in the document. The user then selects the concepts to be added to the collection, placed in a TopBraid-generated scheme to “hold” the new concepts. The user can then manually organize them hierarchically, as desired.
