TopQuadrant’s mission is to enable enterprises to be agile through practical application of Semantic Web technologies. We believe the global economy requires enterprises to become more agile in order to survive and thrive. Applications built using traditional approaches don’t adapt well to changes and are not sustainable over time.

With the increasing volume and diversity of data, data integration needs for enterprises are growing exponentially. At the same time, expectations about what technology should do for companies and solution end-users are rapidly increasing.

In response to these forces, TopQuadrant provides the technology necessary to quickly and cost effectively build Dynamic Business Applications. These model-driven applications are context-aware, self-explaining and can be changed dynamically. They:

• make it possible to quickly draw information from new and existing sources that contain data in any format

• can capture and change the relationships between data in a way that is sharable across organizational boundaries

• allow business users to determine the ‘meaning of data’ and customize and view information as needed to support their work

This new class of applications is made possible by an inventive architecture based on the W3C ¹ standards for representing and sharing business vocabularies and data over the web - including XML, RDF/RDFS, RDFa, OWL and SPARQL.

Recognizing that adopting emerging technologies requires innovative approaches, TopQuadrant supports change agents in the organizations through training programs, business strategy workshops, mentoring and a wealth of knowledge resources.

TopQuadrant was established in 2001. Our US offices on the West Coast are in Mountain View California, our East Coast offices are based near Washington, DC, and our clients are located throughout the US and in Europe. TopQuadrant also has a subsidiary in Seoul, Korea serving customers in the Southeast Asia.
